What is FACS?
Family and Consumer Sciences is a class open to any student. Its focus is to expand students knowledge on skills that prepare them for individual living and workforce. According to Family and Consumer Science Education, their eight pathways of focus are:

-Consumer Economics Services
-Family and Human Services
-Fashion Design, Manufacturing, and Merchandising
-Food Science, Diabetics, and Nutrition
-Food Service and Culinary Arts
-Hospitality Services
-Interior Design
Family and consumer sciences (FACS) is the comprehensive body of skills, research, and knowledge that helps people make informed decisions about their well being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life. The field represents many areas, including human development, personal and family finance, housing and interior design, food science, nutrition and wellness, textiles and apparel, and consumer issues.
